Welcome to the heart of our village: your local shops just a stone's throw from your gîte !
At 15D rue Alphonse Karr, you are ideally located to discover the flavors and services of our charming village.
Here is a selection of our favorite shops, just a few minutes walk from your gîte:
The Butcher's Shop (23 rue Alphonse Karr) :
Just a few steps from your door, discover an exceptional butcher's shop, open 7 days a week. Top quality meats, and above all, the butcher's delicious homemade sausages with herbs, merguez and traditional sausages, a treat!
Carrefour City (4 rue Alphonse Karr) :
For your additional shopping, take advantage of the convenience of Carrefour City, open 7 days a week. Extended hours in summer for more flexibility.
Grocery store Chez Philippe (at the end of the street at 10 avenue George V) :
Just a few steps from your gîte, this charming grocery store offers a selection of local products that will delight your taste buds. Don't miss their assortment of local farmhouse cheeses, carefully selected for their quality and authenticity. It's the ideal place to discover the flavors of the Normandy region and create a cheese platter for a gourmet tasting.
Bakery ""Le Petit Accent"" (the furthest away, but our favorite at 38 rue Notre Dame) :
A little further, but worth the detour! "Le Petit Accent" is our favorite bakery. Let yourself be tempted by their crispy pastries, their typically Norman specialties like the galette (plain for breakfast or savory, perfect for an aperitif) or the douillons and their special breads (weekly bread and Sunday cranberry bread).
There are two other bakeries in Etretat, but this one is by far the best.
Post Office (near Avenue George V) :
For your mailings and postal services, the post office is easily accessible.
Pharmacy (nearby at 2 avenue George V) :
Open 6 days a week, and even on Sundays during peak season, the pharmacy ensures your peace of mind.
The Étretat market (Thursday morning) :
For a total immersion in the local atmosphere, don't miss the Étretat market, which is held every Thursday morning. Just a few minutes' drive from your gîte, you'll discover a wealth of fresh produce, regional specialities and local crafts. It's the perfect opportunity to stock up on Normandy flavours and find unique souvenirs.
Souvenir shops and Norman specialties :
Explore the local shops to bring a piece of Normandy home with you: cider, calvados, caramels, biscuits...
A final tip:
The fish market in Fécamp (a few kilometers by car at 2 rue du Commandant Riondel, Fécamp) :
For seafood lovers, don't miss the Fécamp fish market, where you can buy fresh fish directly from the fishermen. Open to individuals on Tuesday mornings, Saturdays and Sundays, and more frequently in high season.
