Fécamp Urban Trail 2026: The cliff challenge returns on March 28th
The date is set. The Fécamp Urban Trail is preparing to transform the city of the Newfoundland fishermen into a vast vertical playground once again. On Saturday , March 28, 2026 , hundreds of runners will take on the stairs, historic alleyways, and coastal paths that have made the Alabaster Coast famous.
A route between asphalt and chalk
What makes this event so special is its diversity. Far from classic trail runs through the forest, the Fécamp race takes place in an urban setting. Participants will have to master:
- The monumental staircases linking the port to the heights of the city.
- The visit to the Benedictine Palace , an architectural gem of the region.
- The ridge paths offer a plunging view of the English Channel and the white chalk cliffs.
Several race formats (often a 7 km and a 15/20 km) as well as Nordic walking allow everyone, from the competitor to the contemplative hiker, to take part in the festivities.
Preparing for your race: The best videos for immersion
For those who are still hesitant or who wish to identify the technical sections (especially the infamous slippery steps in case of a Norman drizzle), here is the essential content to consult on YouTube:
- "Urban Trail Fécamp - Official Aftermovie" : The definitive video to experience the excitement of the start on the quays and the electric atmosphere at the finish.
- "Normandy Running Vlog: The Cliffs of Fécamp" : Several sports content creators share their experience of the local elevation changes. Look for the "route reconnaissance" videos to see the incline of the hills.
- "Drone Fécamp - Côte d'Albâtre" : Essential for understanding the topography of the area and admiring the route that runs along the coastline.
